Agreement and eligibility

By accessing or using Body Clarify, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use Body Clarify for another person, you are responsible for having appropriate permission and protecting their information.

You may explore the app and prepare an automatic draft without an account. Saving that draft to the journal on the published service requires sign-in.

Health and safety come first

Body Clarify is not medical advice, a diagnosis, treatment, or an emergency service.

Patterns are based on information you enter and may be incomplete, coincidental, or wrong. Do not delay professional care, stop or change medication, or deliberately re-expose yourself to a suspected allergen or trigger because of an app result.

For urgent or severe symptoms, including trouble breathing, swelling of the face or throat, chest pain, fainting, signs of stroke, or thoughts of self-harm, contact local emergency services immediately. Ask a qualified healthcare professional to interpret health concerns and changes.

Using the service responsibly

Body Clarify grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app for lawful personal journaling. You agree not to interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious material, abuse other users or providers, reverse engineer protected parts of the service where prohibited, or use the app to violate another person’s rights.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, reviewing exports before sharing them, maintaining access to your device and account, and keeping independent copies of information you cannot afford to lose.

Your content and exports

You keep ownership of the journal entries, notes, and photos you add. You give Body Clarify and its service providers only the limited permission needed to store, process, sync, display, and export that content for you and to operate the service.

You must have the right to upload the content you provide. Do not upload another person’s private or copyrighted material without permission. You decide who receives exported reports or pattern cards and are responsible for sharing them safely.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains what is stored on your device, what is processed when you sign in, and how optional analytics work. By using the service, you acknowledge those practices. Optional analytics remain off unless you enable them.

Third-party services

Some features rely on services such as Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, PostHog, Google sign-in, and Open Food Facts. Their services may have separate terms and privacy practices. Body Clarify is not responsible for third-party content, product information, availability, or conduct.

Barcode results and ingredient information may be incomplete or outdated. Always check the product label and professional safety advice, especially for allergies or intolerances.

Availability, updates, and beta features

Body Clarify may change, add, pause, or remove features, and may install service-worker updates to maintain the app. We aim to protect active drafts during updates but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Demo data is fictional sample information and is not saved to your journal.

During an early or hackathon-stage release, features may be experimental. Important health information should also be kept in an appropriate independent record.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Body Clarify is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will identify a cause, prevent a symptom, preserve every record, or meet a medical or regulatory requirement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Body Clarify will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the service, reliance on a pattern, loss of device-only data, or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights that consumer law gives you.

Ending use and account deletion

You may stop using Body Clarify at any time. You can delete individual entries or use Delete all logs and photos in Account and privacy. The in-app device-clear control removes drafts, preferences, device caches, and unsynced changes and signs out that browser, but it does not delete the authentication account or cloud records that have not already been deleted in the app.

There is currently no self-service control for deleting the authentication account itself. Request deletion by emailing hello@bodyclarify.com. We may verify your identity before completing the request.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or respond to misuse. Sections that logically continue after termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits, remain in effect.

Governing law, changes, and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law in your location applies. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes that cannot be resolved informally.

We may update these Terms as the product changes. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply.

Questions: hello@bodyclarify.com.

These Terms are a practical launch document, not a substitute for advice from a lawyer familiar with Body Clarify, the countries where it is offered, and how the project is made available.

Body Clarify is a personal journal, not a medical service.
